Pros:
High quality BurrBrown conversion up to 192 kHz in 24 bits, on all channels
Works perfectly with PS3 (Slim)
Passes Dolby Digital/stereo LPCM signal to the optical connection when available
Gold plated connectors
Good HDMI detection and switching (my older HDMI switch (other brand) had to be turned off regularly, this one works every time)
Cons:
Signal dropped for a very short time just after signal change (for instance when PS3 changes resolution)
Case a bit flimsy
No LED of LCD screen showing current audio signal being decoded (number of channels, frequency, bit depth)
